Abstract

The energy needs of children should be met through a diet with the contribution of lipids and carbohydrates G proteins. Minerals and vitamins are essential for proper children growth and development. Its deficiency can generate several pathologies. We performed a study over 426 children at school aged between 2 and 12, during which we recordedfood consumption over three days. The results were compared by gender and population density. The conclusion lead to an unbalanced caloric and lipid profile. Iron ingestion forgirls is insufficient. Calcium is also insufficient for both sexes
