Abstract

For the the success of the project planning it is essential that the allocation and resource leveling is performed in a accurate way, especially when resources are not infinite. This issue is addressed by the RCPSP (Resource Constrained Project Scheduling Problem). This paper has made an analysis of the different heuristics techniques that solve this problem, the priority rules used and their characteristics, and the metaheuristics techniques commonly used for RCPSP. These techniques, although they give a much higher performance than traditional techniques also suffer from certain aspects that are not usually taken into consideration
