Abstract

Keratinized mucosa does not have any influence on dental implants long-term survival rate. However its preservation and reconstruction will makes easier to improve aesthetics, oral hygiene and to reach lower plaque index. Mucosal regeneration around osseointegrated implants with biomaterials is a good alternative that has shown predictable results, with the advantage of having lower postoperatory morbility and an unlimited quantity of grafting material which can be used in different locations, like this, it will not be necessary to make a delayed surgery.
