Abstract

Throughout the history of engineering, it has been contemplated that meteorological effects on structures. These facts induce us to study the behavior of structures that have not been designed to absorb energy, such as the fluid field that the windings, particularly the wind, are really capable of. If you are able to design structures that not only absorb but also channel that energy, you will be faced with a new concept of structural system. As a reference, the aerodynamic phenomenon of vortex street produced by a structure embedded in a fluid correlation described by Von Karman, establishes the first step for the design of a structural system with a geometry capable of presenting a frequency of vortex detachment Constant throughout its scope
