Abstract

Technology has a huge role in all aspects of our lives; due to this fact we must promote its importance to all university students undertaking the process of teacher training in primary education as experts in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom. At university level, we consider the use of digital teaching resources and multimedia tools based on gamification to be innovative and efficient strategies for the teaching and learning of social sciences, supported by the use of new technologies to improve educational practice and our students´ knowledge. These tools can be used in the classroom as a supplement to teaching methods that develop teachers, with the purpose of educating in the knowledge, competence and skills marked out by the national curriculum. We conceive this task through a practical methodology, and cooperative student-centered learning, with an active and communicative design adequate for a rounded and complete education.
