Zusammenfassung
In this paper, I analyze the effects of employment and public labor costs in the increase of total public expenditure, through the model so-called Baumol Effect, or Baumol’s cost disease. For this, a general view of the current situation of public expenditure in industrialized societies is made, it ́s exposed the model, and evidences of its existence are sought through the review of the existing literature.
