The public lighting installations can be more energy efficient because they have a significant potential savings and also it´s possible to improve environmental protection, reducing light pollution and greenhouse gas emissions to atmospheric. In order to assess its energy efficiency is necessary to perform a complete audit that must include: inventory of existing facilities, verification of safety, energy audit, proposed for energy savings and comparison of the same. In turn, the energy audit must include the classification of roads, lighting measurements, analysis of the information obtained and panel sustainability indicators
