Resumen
Introduction: Nasal valve collapse can be alleviated through various techniques depending on the cause of narrowing of the internal nasal valve. Methods: We report the case of a 40-year-old man who complained of nasal obstruction caused by internal nasal valve collapse and inferior turbinates hypertrophy. We performed a bilateral endonasal spreader graft placement and bilateral submucosal resection turbinoplasty with a good functional and aesthetic outcome. Discussion/Conclusions: Nasal valve dysfunction requires an integral management. In selected cases combined surgical procedures have to be performed in the same surgical time. Although there is not a consensus about which is the most effective technique to enlarge the internal nasal valve, endonasal cartilagenous spreader grafts surgery allows good control of the symptoms.
