Resumen

Production planning is a complex process that covers numerous factors which have to be synchronized and aligned to the objectives of the company at all decision levels. In this paper different optimization models are proposed used hierarchical production structure that initially allows us determining a master production schedule by family types and subsequently, disaggregate decisions by families and final products. These models are designed to achieve optimal production volumes to meet seasonal demand requirements and relate the different entities of a supply chain: suppliers, manufacturers and customers. The methodology is applied to a case study of industrial production, using its resolution algebraic modeling software AMPL and Gurobi as solver. The paper shows pertinence of the proposed methodology for obtaining a master production schedule.
