Abstract
Small bowel intussusception is a rare complication after gastric bypass surgery for morbid obesity. The aetiology remains unclear. This pathology may cause intestinal obstruction, ischemic necrosis and if not recognized and treated promptly. Clinical presentation is not specific. Computerized tomography scan represents the diagnostic test of choice. The treatment requires surgical exploration and in some cases intestinal resection. We report a case of intestinal retrograde intussusception located in the handle common, occurred 20 months after laparoscopic gastric bypass.
