¿Cómo afecta el cambio de entrenador al rendimiento físico de los jugadores de fútbol?

Resumen

El presente estudio analizó la manifestación condicional de un equipo de fútbol semiprofesional cuando este sufrió un cambio de entrenador. Los resultados mostraron datos de carga externa extraídos de dispositivos de posicionamiento global (GPS) en dos periodos de la temporada —liga regular y fase de permanencia—, donde se pudo observar que el cambio de entrenador afectó al rendimiento físico del equipo, ya que fue significativamente superior en HSR Rel Dist (m) (t348.26 = 2.72; p = .007; d = .27), HSR Rel Count (t352.85 = 2.72; p = .007; d = .27), Sprints REL (t260.9 = 2.12; p = .003; d = .28), HMLD (m/min) (t156.69 = 7.07; p < .001; d = .74) y > 24 m/min (t354 = 2.16; p = .031; d = .23) con la metodología de trabajo del primer entrenador. Sin embargo, en las variables Distance (m) (t186.65 = 2.5; p = .013; d = .29) y Player Load (t188.94 = 2.63; p = .015; d = .29), se obtuvieron unos valores más elevados con el nuevo entrenador. No hubo, por tanto, una variación relevante y de mejora en los datos con el nuevo entrenador, lo que indicó que el rendimiento de un equipo se debió a múltiples factores y que correr más no garantizó un mayor rendimiento colectivo a nivel de éxito en el marcador.
