Résumé

Article 101 of the Treaty of the Pyrenees established an agreement between the kings of France and Spain to work together to put an end to the conflict in the North. A pact that preceded the signing of the Peace of Oliva. Historiography has focused its attention on the role of French diplomacy, which acted as a mediator in the Northern agreements. However, this work focuses on the much less known role of Philip IV's diplomacy in the negotiation, as well as its influence in the establishment of a new order in Central and Northern Europe.
