Resumen

In today’s international sphere, globalization has become the umbrella that binds us together. It isprecisely this fact that has led to the sharing of objectives and to make a reflection on the profile people need tohave to live in any society. In the field of education, competency-based learning has become the key elementto respond to increasingly experiential demands. This requires that pupils, the future citizens of the world, have a solid education from early ages. In recent decades, education systems are being transformed to adapt tonew circumstances. To this end, not only the contents need to be updated, but also the methodologies. This isthe origin of design thinking, an innovative methodology that promotes, among other aspects, the use of creativity. Likewise, it is compulsory to teach in competencies. Among all of them, entrepreneurial competenceand leadership are two pillars whose objective is to guarantee the future professional success of students. Ofall the areas that make up Primary Education in Spain, Physical Education is precisely one of those that offersthe greatest possibilities for interaction, development and implementation of strategies through the use of creativity. Therefore, the aim of this work is to show how to make use of design thinking strategies in the area ofPhysical Education in Primary School.
