Abstract

The new perspectives on medical sciences and the relationship health-disease, under the light of advanced sciences that perceive the worls as a complex and chaotic phenomenon, demand a change of thought and attitudes for health professionals, particularly nurses. In this work, some concepts such as chaos, complexity and fractality are defined, and the nursing role is separated from euclidian geometry where everything is structurally shaped, to be modified towards a more complex perception where all the parts make the whole that eventually conforms health; health should be understood as a multifactorial system, in order to cope with the challenges that new technologies offer and modify nurses' future behaviour.
