Resumo
Often victims of sexual crimes and battered babies have bite marks on their bodies. Bite marks may be easily studied by the superposition of its figure using transparent paper, with molding obtained from the suspicious mouth. They may also be taken saliva samples for the determination of ABO blood group and DNA evidence. The purpose of this article is to provide investigators with and overview of this important aspect of forensic Odontology when confronted with dental evidence in a major crime.
