Abstract
The tuba is an instrument of the brass family that has been rapidly taking root in the musical world since its creation in the 19th century. In this paper, we will make a comparison between the different schools of tuba teaching in the world: American, German, Russian, English and French in terms of the instruments they use and the methodology and literature they use. To do so, we will use the same parameters to reach a reasoned conclusion, by means of a qualitative analysis of interviews with performers and teachers of reference and recognized prestige in their country and at world level, as to what types of tubas are used in each school and what methodology is used in each of them.
