Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2007, I obtained my degree in ENT and Cervicofacial Surgery in 2011, in Madrid, Spain. My research on the prevalence of the human papillomavirus and the analysis of the p16 protein in epidermoid carcinoma of the larynx conferred me a PhD Cum Laude. Since then I have been working at the ENT and Cervicofacial Surgery Department of Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz and Hospital Universitario General de Villalba, both in Madrid, Spain. Rhinology and the anterior skull base surgery, including FESS, chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal septal surgery, and septal perforation closure, are some of my areas of expertise. I have been working as a co-investigator in numerous international clinical trials on the use of monoclonal antibodies to treat chronic rhinosinusitis with and without polyps for the past eight years. I also play an active role in the Unit of Sialoendoscopy and Functional Pathology of the Salivary Glands, and I recently contributed, as co-editor, to the first Spanish-language book on this surgical procedure. As a result of this knowledge of oral and salivary pathology, during the last 3 years I have participated in clinical trials on the effectiveness of oral mouthwashes in patients with SARS-COV-2, with relevant associated publications. In addition to deepen in salivary obstructive pathology, especially in lithiasis. Finally, I am a lover of teaching, being active in various trainings for otolaryngologists(septoplasty, FESS and sialendoscopy), besides being the Coordinator of the subject of Otorhinolaryngology in the Teaching Unit of the General University Hospital of Villalba, of the University Alfonso X el Sabio.
