Colocación de implantes en alveolos postextracción. Situación actual a propósito de un caso clínico

Introduction: Post-extraction dental implants appear as an alternative to traditional dental implants on completely healed bone with the main aim to reduce treatment time and the number of surgeries and other authors controversials for different purposes such as decreased bone resorption and better aesthetics. Case description: A 38-years old ASA I woman came to consultation with a crown-rooth fracture of the first upper left premolar with a bad prognosis restauration. After making full pre-surgical study is was decided to place the implant Promote Plus Camlog diameter 4,3 mm and length 13 mm. Discusion: The post-extraction implants have a high sucess rate, demostrating their osseintegration in both animals and humans different studies. But in general the tracing of these implants is short with a high level of bias, so more exhaustive studies are required. Conclusion: The placement of implants in extraction sockets is a procedure with a high survival rate whose main advantage is the reduction of treatment time. Like other techniques it requires a strict protocol and a suitable study of the case for sucessful treatment.
