I obtained the bachelor’s degree (Biology; Genetic and Cellular Biology) in 2008 at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, followed by my master’s degree in Genetics at the same University. Later in 2013 I obtained my PhD (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedicine and Biotechnology) at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Further, as a postdoctoral researcher, I worked in the same laboratory for two more years. During my tenure at the Hospital Gregorio Marañón de Madrid, I published seven papers as a first author and participated in the writing of two book chapters with Dr. Muñoz-Fernández, Bryszewska and Klajnert-Maculewicz from the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK). Subsequently, I worked at the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) in the Cell Biotechnology laboratory of the Rare Diseases Research Institute (IIER) through a Juan de la Cierva work contract from MINECO. Since 2018, I have been working as a Principal Investigator in the Biomedical Investigation Unity at Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio. Accredited two research six-year period (2010-2015 and 2016-2021) by Comisión Nacional Evaluadora de la Actividad Investigadora (CNEAI).
